Life can shift in ways you didn’t expect—and suddenly, you’re trying to hold everything together while feeling like you’re coming apart.
Maybe you’re a mother facing the emotional and physical toll of postpartum life. Maybe you love someone in emergency services and feel the strain of long shifts, trauma exposure, and unpredictability. Or maybe your family feels tense and disconnected, and you’re not sure how to fix it.
These experiences can leave you feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure of where you fit anymore.
I’m Rachel. I bring both professional training and lived experience to the work we do together. As a mother who has navigated major life transitions, including postpartum adjustment and divorce, I understand how deeply change can shake your sense of self and stability. I also believe healing rarely happens all at once—it happens in small, steady steps, often with the right support beside you.
As a pre-licensed counselor, I work with postpartum clients, partners of first responders coping with trauma exposure and unpredictable schedules, and teens and families who want healthier communication and stronger relationships. I also support people with disabilities and their families as they navigate accessibility, caregiving stress, and the ways advocacy and burnout can affect the whole family system.
My style is straightforward, compassionate, and practical. I use trauma-informed, attachment-based approaches and offer tools you can apply in daily life. When it’s helpful, we can also incorporate nature for its calming, grounding effects, something that has been an important part of my own healing. Outside the therapy room, I’m happiest outdoors, especially camping and fishing.
With evening and weekend availability, I aim to make therapy accessible for people balancing demanding, real-world schedules.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. Support is here—and together, we can start making things feel manageable again.
