I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself in a real, human way (because therapy is all about connection, right?). I’m Marlene—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a mom, a 20-year military spouse, and someone who truly understands how heavy life can feel sometimes. I’ve lived through deployments, PCS moves, the heartbreak and obstacles military families lived through while supporting their soldiers. That lived experience is what I bring into the room with me every single day.
I started my clinical career in 2016, working in inpatient and outpatient substance-use treatment. Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of people—active-duty members, veterans, spouses, teens, kids, and families—work through trauma, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, parenting struggles, co-parenting challenges, crisis moments, and everything in between.
I offer sessions in English and Spanish (ages 10 and up) and use tools that actually make a difference:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their emotional charge.
Attachment-focused work to heal and strengthen relationships.
CBT plus practical, real-life strategies you can use right away.
Your faith, culture, spiritual practices, political views, and the full spectrum of who you are will always be welcomed and celebrated here. When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me hiking an Alaska trail with my kids, fishing at midnight under the summer sun, or curled up for family board-game night. If any of this resonates and you’re looking for a safe, judgment-free space to sort things out and start feeling whole again, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You’re not alone.
