Morgan Yaskus Bio
As a parent, it can be exhausting feeling like you’re doing everything you can for your teenager and still watching them suffer. Are you and your teen struggling through excessive conflict and power struggles? Does there seem to be a disconnect in communication with your teen? Is your teen struggling with interpersonal relationships? There is hope!
Adolescence to early adulthood can be a really difficult time to navigate. It’s where we begin the path of self-discovery, establish our personal identities, form relationships, and look to the future. While these can all be very exciting things, they are often also quite challenging and accompanied by stress, conflict, strained relationships, and a whole lot of change. My goal is to create a safe space for teens and young adults to express themselves while assisting them in learning additional skills to cope with life’s challenges. Through a person-centered and collaborative approach, I strive to help individuals strengthen their core beliefs, self-worth, and confidence within themselves.
My prior experience includes working in an adolescent residential facility with predominantly clientele within DJJ, an intensive outpatient program, and on the Mobile Crisis Team as a co-responder with local law enforcement and EMS. I have worked with individuals experiencing diagnoses such as: C-PTSD, PTSD, ODD, BPD, conduct disorder, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, eating disorders, and various personality disorders. Common therapeutic modalities used include: TBRI, CBT, DBT, ACT.
